Terms & privacy

Clear terms.
Your information.

Who operates Pentacorn, what you can expect, and how we handle your personal data.

01 / Who we are

The company behind Pentacorn

Pentacorn is operated by PENTACORN LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales, number 12296811. Its registered office is 22 Bolton Road, London, England, W4 3TB. PENTACORN LIMITED is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For website, programme or privacy enquiries, contact info@pentacorn.com, or write to the registered office marked “Privacy”.

02 / Programme terms

Before you commit

Pentacorn is an eight-week business accelerator, currently advertised at £12,500 per participant. Cohort dates, venue, individual experts and other provisional arrangements are subject to confirmation. Joining the waitlist or submitting an enquiry does not create a contract to attend, reserve a place or require payment.

If offered a place, you will receive written participation terms before committing or paying. These will confirm eligibility, the services, total price and any applicable VAT, payment schedule, cancellation and refund arrangements, and any applicable statutory cancellation rights. This website notice is not a substitute for those participation terms.

The programme provides learning, frameworks, tools and programme-lead guidance. Participants apply these to their own businesses. Bespoke coding, product development and individually commissioned legal, tax or other professional services are not included unless separately agreed in writing. Participation does not guarantee revenue, profitability, funding, an acquisition, introductions or any particular commercial outcome.

03 / Independence & information

Advice, partners and your decisions

Website articles, tools and examples are general information, not personalised legal, tax, investment or financial advice. Check material decisions with appropriately qualified advisers. Illustrative examples are not participant results. You remain responsible for your business decisions and for checking information supplied by third parties.

You are not obliged to engage an expert or partner after the programme. Any later work requires a separate agreement. Relevant referral fees or other commercial relationships will be disclosed before you are asked to decide. Introductions depend on suitability, availability and the parties’ permission.

04 / Using this website

Fair use and your rights

Provide accurate information and submit only material you are entitled to share. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information, third-party customer records or trade secrets through public forms. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with other users. Website content belongs to PENTACORN LIMITED or its licensors; material may be used for personal reference, but not republished commercially without permission.

We may update content and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded. These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Its courts have jurisdiction, without restricting any mandatory consumer right to use the law or courts of your home jurisdiction.

05 / Privacy: enquiries

Waitlist, applications and advisory enquiries

The waitlist collects your name, email, business stage and main support need. Optional fields cover your business name and description, London attendance and fee readiness. We use these to understand interest, assess likely fit and contact you about the cohort you requested. Joining is not an application or a guarantee of admission. It does not subscribe you to Pentacorn’s general email updates.

Applications and advisory enquiries may include business details, website, funding stage, financial information you choose to provide and your message. We use these to assess and respond to your request. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, where applicable, and our legitimate interests in managing business enquiries and selecting a suitable cohort. We balance those interests against your rights. You can ask us to stop following up.

Required fields are needed to process the relevant form; optional fields can be left blank. Decisions on admission and introductions are made by people, not solely by automated profiling.

06 / Privacy: updates

Subscribe to Pentacorn

Subscribing records your email address so we can send the practical thinking and programme news you requested. We rely on your consent for these marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting info@pentacorn.com or using an unsubscribe link provided in an email, without affecting earlier lawful processing. We keep a minimal opt-out record to avoid contacting you again. Subscribing does not join the cohort waitlist. We do not add enquiry, seller or buyer contacts to this mailing list automatically.

07 / Privacy: resources

Resource requests

Registering interest records your email address, the resource requested and any information you explicitly choose to submit with the request. We use this to manage and respond to that request, based on our legitimate interest in fulfilling requested enquiries. It does not subscribe you to general updates or join the waitlist. Some resources are still in preparation; registering interest does not trigger immediate delivery or an immediate email. Public articles can be read without registering.

08 / Privacy: Exchange

Businesses, buyers and introductions

Seller submissions, buyer briefs and enquiries collect the details you enter: your name, email, any phone number, and business, financial or acquisition information. We use this to assess the submission, respond and consider a suitable introduction. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, where applicable, and our legitimate interests in operating a business introduction service.

Private submissions are separate from public listings. Publication requires the seller’s approval. We ask permission before sharing buyer or seller contact details for an introduction; agreed recipients then handle information under their own responsibilities. Approved public listing information can be viewed and copied by third parties, including search engines. Withdrawing a listing cannot guarantee immediate removal of their cached copies.

Exchange does not handle transaction payments or contracts. Listings and seller-provided figures are not a substitute for independent due diligence, valuation or professional advice. An enquiry is not an offer, reservation or guarantee of access to a business.

09 / Privacy: service providers

Who processes information

Authorised Pentacorn personnel use submitted information to handle the relevant request. Replit provides the hosting, application database and technical infrastructure used to store submissions and operate this site. Clerk provides authentication for staff access, processing staff account details and sign-in/session information. Public visitors do not need a staff account to submit a form. See Replit’s privacy policy and Clerk’s privacy policy.

Correspondence also passes through the email providers used by us and by the sender. We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers, regulators or authorities where required by law or to establish or defend legal rights. We do not sell personal data.

Infrastructure and authentication providers may process information outside the UK. Such transfers require an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards under UK data protection law. Contact info@pentacorn.com to ask about the recipients, locations and safeguards applicable to your information. This notice does not promise UK-only storage.

10 / Privacy: retention

How long we keep information

Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries, applications, resource requests and private Exchange submissions are deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last meaningful contact, unless an ongoing relationship or legal obligation requires longer retention. Active waitlist records are retained while we are handling the requested cohort interest, then reviewed against the same 12-month limit. You can ask us to remove your details earlier.

Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe or we stop the mailing list. After that, a minimal opt-out record may be retained to honour your preference. If you become a participant or client, the separate agreement and privacy information will explain retention for that relationship. Records genuinely needed for tax, legal obligations or a dispute are kept only for the applicable requirement or claim period.

Deletion is administered by the team, not promised as an automated feature. Backup and infrastructure copies may remain until the relevant provider’s retention cycle expires; they are not used to resume routine contact.

11 / Privacy: browser & technical data

Cookies, shortlists and security

Hosting and security systems process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and error records, to deliver the site, prevent abuse and investigate faults. We rely on legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and reliable. Staff sign-in uses authentication cookies and session information. This notice does not give consent for advertising trackers or optional analytics; any future non-essential tracking requiring consent must be offered separately.

If you save Exchange opportunities, only public listing references are stored in this browser on this device. Shortlists do not send an enquiry, share contact details or sync across devices. They remain until you remove them or clear browser storage. If persistent storage is unavailable, saves last only for the current tab.

We restrict staff access and use hosting and authentication controls to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us before sharing particularly sensitive documents so an appropriate process can be agreed.

12 / Privacy: your rights

Questions, requests and complaints

Subject to applicable law, you can request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction and portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw marketing consent. These rights are not absolute. We may need proportionate identity checks and normally respond within one month, explaining any permitted extension. Contact info@pentacorn.com with your request; there is no need to create an account.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first, but you do not have to contact us before complaining to the ICO.

This notice covers this website and its current enquiry services. Additional information will be supplied where a later participant or client relationship introduces new processing. Material changes to this notice will be identified here and, where appropriate, communicated directly. Last updated: 2 November 2026.
